Ellen wilcox, President
Ellen has worked in the oil and gas industry since moving west in 2011 to pursue a masters at CU Boulder. She had the opportunity to work on several projects with plenty of hands on exposure to core, which is always a favorite. More recently she spent time at a small, equity backed company, operating in the Williston Basin where she was able to learn about all aspects of the business. She is always looking to expand her horizons to satisfy her curiosity and appetite for learning.
Ellen has always been drawn towards sedimentary geology and anything fluvial related is certain to peak her interest. While fluvial systems are often best understood in outcrop, Ellen feels most at home in a core description room, surrounded by boxes of core.
When not working or thinking about geology Ellen is found cooking with as many vegetables as possible, being a mom to an enthusiastic toddler, and when the opportunity arises, heading outside for some hiking and trail running.
